LIFE ASSURANCE
Term assurance
Level Term Assurance – provides a fixed level of cover for a fixed number of years, determined at outset, and is typically used to provide cover for dependents in the event of your death. The premiums remain the same throughout the policy term (unless you amend your cover or include indexation whereby your benefit and premium increases annually by, for example, Retail Prices Index or a fixed percentage). The premium will be dependent on your age, smoking habits and the sum assured you require. Go to online quote page
Mortgage Protection
Mortgage Protection – provides life cover against the outstanding amount of your mortgage or other debt. The sum assured reduces each year over the term of the loan as the debt is gradually repaid. Go to online quote page
Whole Of Life
Whole of Life – quite simply, the sum assured will pay out when you die, whenever that may be. Can be used to fund for a known financial liability on death e.g funeral expenses or an inheritance tax liability. Clearly, this can be expensive as it the sum assured will be paid out, but there are times when Whole of Life cover is important and appropriate. Go to online quote page
Family Income Benefit
Family Income Benefit –instead of paying out a lump sum, the benefit is paid as a regular income to your dependents until the end of the policy term. For example, if you had a policy with a sum assured of £30,000 per annum and you died at the end of year 4 of a 10 year term policy, the benefit would be payable for 6 years. This eases the burden on dependents of finding an investment vehicle to produce an income from a lump sum benefit – as with a Level Term Assurance policy. Go to online quote page
We all know there is a need for life assurance, but often we are not sure of the type of cover we need. Below we have given a brief description of the most common types and their use. Here you can obtain an online quote and request a proposal form. Please read our Terms of Business before proceeding
Convertible Term
Convertible Term – a level term assurance plan with options built in e.g. to switch to a different form of life cover after a certain timescale. Importantly, this will be without the need for medical underwriting, so provides peace of mind that life cover will remain available even if your health changes. Contact us for a quotation.
